Little Luxuries I’m Loving This Fall
Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit. - Edward Abbey
While I’ll be first in line to admit that there are few things in life I love more than a nice leather satchel, a wool trench coat, or a pair of riding boots, the Covid-19 pandemic has given me a new appreciation for luxuries that one cannot buy. After working from home for a few years now, I’ve learned that while it’s still fun to dress up, my definition of what luxury is has completely changed. It’s those intangible, unpurchaseable things that truly bring me joy. As the days get shorter and the air gets cooler, here is what I’m loving right now:
Dog walks on a cool, sunny morning…
Warm cups of coffee on the deck…
Strolls through the forest to admire the changing leaves…
The scents of pumpkin, apples, and cinnamon…
A glass of merlot by the fire…
Hot soups and crusty bread…
What are you looking forward to this fall?
